Obedience Training

Enrollment is now open for the upcoming Intermediate Class session.

See below for details.

With over 25 years of experience, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge to his training sessions. He has managed canine facilities across the country, specialized in behavior evaluations for animal shelters and rescue groups, performed mold detection scent work, and specializes in obedience and behavior training for all levels and needs.  Justin will tailor training to your needs and to your dog's breed. Not only will you learn the skills, you will also learn the behavior characteristics specific to your dog's breed, a crucial component to understanding and correcting dog behavior. Our facility offers both private and group training options.

Please note each dog is allowed a maximum of two adults to attend with them.

Due to safety, children under 10 are not allowed to attend class.

All group class sizes are kept small to maximize the group experience, one-on-one instruction, and maintain safe social distances between participants. Dogs of all ages and breeds are welcome to join us! It is never too early to start training your new puppy, but they do need to have received all of their vaccinations prior to attending a group class. You also CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Excitability around others can be managed during a group class, but if your dog shows true aggression towards other people or dogs, then we will require a private lesson before enrolling in a group class.

Payment is due by the first group class, and is non-refundable. We do not offer partial payments; if you need to miss a session then we will be happy to email you the course content for that day. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Basic Obedience: Six week course for $200 (plus tax)

This class will focus on basic level obedience skills to help your dog develop good manners - "watch" or focus, sit, stay, down, walking on leash/leash handling techniques, come when called, and any other problematic behaviors (i.e. barking, jumping, etc). This offers a great opportunity to help you bond further with your dog while learning how to communicate for a well mannered pup.

The next 6 week Basic Obedience class sessions will be held on:  TBD

Intermediate Obedience: Four week course $150 (plus tax)

This class will focus on refining the Basic Obedience skills learned in the Basic Obedience course, and applying them to every day life. Improving on leashing handling and managing various situations, like meeting new people and dogs, will be heavily emphasized. This is a great course to prepare you and your pup if you are considering CGC certification, but that does not need to be your goal in order to participate.

This course is only available to clients who have participated in our Basic Obedience Course.
