Obedience Training

With over 20 years of experience, Justin brings a wealth of knowledge to his training sessions. He has managed canine facilities across the country, specialized in behavior evaluations for animal shelters and rescue groups, mold detection scent work, and obedience and behavior training for all levels and needs.  Justin will tailor training to your needs and to your dog's breed. Not only will you learn the skills, you will also learn the behavior characteristic specific to your dog's breed, a crucial component to understanding and correcting dog behavior.

All group class sizes are kept small to maximize the group experience and one-on-one instruction. If you have taken a class elsewhere, but are interested in joining one of our groups, Justin can help you select the one most appropriate for your dog's skills.

To enroll in a class, please complete the Registration form and submit either by email or fax (315-715-4754)

Basic Obedience: Six week course for $150 (plus tax)*

This class will focus on basic level obedience skills - "watch" or focus, sit, stay, down, heeling on leash, come when called, and any other problematic behaviors (i.e. barking, jumping, etc). Intermediate/Advanced Obedience: Six week course for $150 (plus tax)*

This class will focus on refining the Basic Obedience skills by working through the Canine Good Citizen skill requirements. Examples of this are being able to calmly greet new people and dogs, walking through a crowd in a polite manner, remaining calm in new situations, and practicing the basic skills (sit, stay, heeling on leash) with increasingly difficult distractions. This course will help prepare you and your dog if you choose to pursue the Canine Good Citizen certification, however, this does not need to be your goal to take this course. This is an excellent (and fun!) way to help your dog develop good manners that are useful in all settings.
